My name is Jason Holowach, I was born on May 11th 1985, in Kerobert Saskatchewan. Ever since then I have been living in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Contrary to popular belief I do not live on a farm, believe it or not more then half of Saskatchewan's 1 million live in cities or towns.

I've been climbing in this flat prairie ridden land for almost 11 years now. The gym and the people here is what keeps me around, if it wasn't for that I couldn't do what I do. Out of those nearly 11 years I have been competing 10, and have been on the Canadian National Climbing Team for 8 years. As a youth competitor I was fortunate enough to travel to Youth Worlds on three separate occasions.

Other then competing I have travelled to numerous country's in the world, for example I've been to France, Spain, Malta, England, and the United States of America. My most favourite area by far is Mallorca Spain. Having spent a few months there I was able to explore the island, testing out all it has to offer. The climbing there is vast and extremely enjoyable.

My life outside of climbing is just starting to develop, before now I was really caught up in the whole scene, as far as climbing and competing goes. This year I realized a balance can be achieved between climbing and life. When I was told I would need surgery on my shoulder for a torn labrum, everything was brought into perspective. This year I decided to go back to school, that decision has changed my view on how I was living my life. After the last semester was over I realized how easily it will be to balance my school life with my busy climbing schedule. I am currently going to school at the University of Saskatchewan majoring in Anatomy and Cell Biology, with hopes of someday getting into med school or physical therapy.
